Your point about leaders writing stuff down is so interesting, and chimes with my experience that often you feel like 'of course everyone must know why they're doing something/what else is going on, we talk about it all the time', before finding out that really isn't the case. We usually start show and tells with a vision statement, but don't have the same discipline with bigger strategy. The format looks useful - I'm definitely thinking about using it once i know what's going on/what should go into it.
